Ingredients
3 medium
onions, cut in thin wedges
3 tbsp
olive oil
1 tbsp
sugar
3 tbsp
balsamic vinegar
3 tbsp
water
Sea Salt, to taste
Black Pepper, to taste

Preparation
  1. Sauté onions in olive oil in a frying pan over medium-high heat for 5 minutes. Add sugar, balsamic vinegar and water, and cook for another 5 minutes.
  2. Season to taste with Sea Salt and Pepper. Can be refrigerated for up to one week.
Tips

Serve warm or cold with grilled meat or as a topping for pizza or burgers. Add a little crumbled goat or blue cheese for extra zip. Also great on an antipasto or appetizer platter, complete with cheese and pâtés.
