Ingredients


Makes: 36 cookies
  • 1 C (250 ml) shortening
  • 1 C (250 ml) brown sugar
  • 1/4 C (60 ml) dark molasses
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp (10 ml) baking soda
  • 2 1/4 C (560 ml) all-purpose flour
  • 1 tsp (5 ml) Sea Salt (Grinder)
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml)
  • 1 C (250 ml) granulated sugar

Preparation


 
  • Preheat oven to 375° F (190° C).
  • Cream shortening and sugar. Add molasses, mix thoroughly, then add egg and mix again.
  • Sift next 4 ingredients. Add to creamed mixture.
  • Form cookies into 3/4" (2 cm) balls. Roll in granulated sugar. Place on Sheet Pan lined with Bake & Roll. Flatten slightly with the back of a spoon. Bake for 10 minutes.
