Ingredients


Makes: 12 waffles
  • 2 bananas, finely chopped or mashed, plus extra, to taste
  • 1 recipe prepared Classic Waffles, (replace half white flour with whole-wheat flour)
  • 1-2 Tbsp (15-30 ml) vegetable oil
  • 1 C (250 ml) toasted crushed walnuts
  • maple syrup, to taste

Preparation


 
  • Preheat oven to 425° F (220° C).
  • In a mixing bowl, fold bananas into batter.
  • Place Waffle Mold on Sheet Pan. Using Basting Brush, lightly brush Waffle Mold with oil.
  • Pour approximately 1/4 cup (60 ml) of batter into each Waffle Mold until it fills all corners.
  • Bake until golden, approximately 13–15 minutes. Let cool for 2 minutes, or until Waffle Mold is cool to the touch. Gently remove waffles from Silicone Waffle Mold.
  • Top with walnuts, and extra bananas and maple syrup, if you like.
